A while ago I posted an item about "handedness/pawedness" in moggies..
Jerry Coyne, an emeritus professor of evolutionary biology, University of Chicago, published the results of a reader's test (methodology, experimental device, data sheet included as well as some stats, if you are so inclined). The reader is Taskin who as Professor Coyne notes with insight, "serves as staff to Gus"
Gus, it turned out, is decidedly right-pawed. No stats required but they are provided.
You may read it on WEIT (Why Evolution is True) as well as see Gus at work, pawing away.
Another delightful and informative report from Professor Coyne (aka Professor Ceiling Cat).
I'm so glad that this paper was published and for Taskin's and Gus's experimental work.
