The Science Cartoons (SciToons) program at Brown University "was developed to engage STEM and non-STEM students and faculty in the creation of science animation." SciToons communicates "scientific research  and concepts...via storytelling, animation, high-quality multimedia and art to conceptualize and communicate science. ... At this site you may learn more about the program, find a listing of completed and evolving science animation projects from its inception in 2011 to present (2018) and view animations (15). They are short (around 5 minutes).

Marcella Daniel has an article in Symmetry which provides details on some of the students, their majors and ambitions. It takes student teams about 6 months to develop a SciToon. The most popular SciToon, based on views (~145,000), is "How Do We See Color?"
