Artist Katie Holten has created a New York City Tree Alphabet.

She has assigned a drawing of a tree from the New York City Parks Department's register of existing native and non-native trees, "as well as species that are to be planted as a result of the changing climate." Holten uses both common and scientific names.

A = Ash

Z = Zelkova serruta (aka Japanese elm, recently used in NYC tree plantings)
