This bear fishing season, every Wednesday, Katmai National Park will introduce viewers to one of the bears of Brooks Falls.
In this, the first one, 128 or Grazer is a bear "who behaves very differently depending on her circumstances." She is a beauty and I think you'll notice that.
I should let you see this yourself but it happens quickly. Both of her cubs are swept over the falls. I've seen this several times over the years and they seem no worse the wear, bobbing like corks. Their Mama chases after them.
It is a lot of work being a Mama bear!
