Iceland has lost its first glacier. The cause of its death is known: Climate change.

To mark the occasion a monument is to be installed in August at the site of the extinct Okjokull Glacier, aka the "OK" Glacier. Perhaps it should have been called the "Not OK Glacier." By the way, it was the smallest glacier in Iceland.

The letter to the future is written in Icelandic and English. At the bottom is found "400ppm CO2," which notes that in 2019 (May) humans achieved a new record for the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

One down. 400 or so to go?
