Good morning this May 29 from St. Paul, the 22nd Friday of the year, its 158th day or 5 months and 5 days. There will be 15h 19m 25s of daylight with sunrise at 5:30 am and sunset at 8:50 pm. About 41 percent of the year is in our past. There are 22 days to Summer Solstice, June 20.

Gerold, now 10 years free if cancer, recently celebrated her 19th birthday, completed her freshman year at the UMN (College of Biological Sciences Neurosciences Program) and StarTribune sports columnist Chip Scoggins talked with her again. In his first column he called her Wonderful Mia and it stuck. He ended his recent column again noting that she is indeed wonderful. There is a sports angle to both stories.
