Yesterday I watched two house wrens at hard work, going in and out of nestbox, bringing food to their young. They did this at a relentless pace, stopping only a few times to stand atop their home and sing. House wrens are among the birds that fit the name often given by birders to those they can't identify--little brown jobs..
Sooner or later in life we are bound to find a hatchling, nestling or fledgling on the ground.
What to do?
Science writer and naturalist Rosemary Mosco tells us in a cartoon guide.
It is from her Bird and Moon Comics & Charts.
