When I opened this page I wasn't sure what I was seeing. Why was the United States wearing bandoliers?
It turned out that the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) had developed an fascinating way to display two eclipses - a great map with explanations of the 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse, October 14 & the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, April 8.
It included a treasure trove of links for exploration, including one from NASA describing how the map was created.
