Interest in what happened to Amelia Earhart has captivated many people for years leading to all kinds of ideas.
In this short video (3 m 18 s), the BBC dives "into the conspiracy theories, hoxes - plus some actual facts - about the iconic pioneer."
Just recently, the exploration company Deep Sea Vision, announced that a "sonar image of something resting 5,000 meters (~16404 feet) below the (ocean's) surface...is similar ins size and shape to Earhart's plane."
